MMU Grune Welt 2012 - Fabrication of Chassis @ CTRM


CTRM worker is teaching Body-Shell & Chassis (BSC) members on how to sanding in proper way with patient


Filleting chassis edges

Marking the line to leave spacing for tyre

Cutting is done

Laminating the honeycomb structure composite materials

The bushing have been tested whether it fits in or not after the drilling process

Laminating of the chassis is done

Some specific parts have been drilled to make holes

A mixture of polyester (PE) , carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) &hardener is use to strengthen the chassis.
High-density Polystyrenes bars are fixed at the corners of the chassis to serve as frames to prevent deformation caused by bending.

After finishing, the whole chassis is sprayed with grey color primer
